- Bike weight. A resident e-bike at 22 to 30 kg is roughly double a road bike, and that changes the rack, the fixing and sometimes the wall build-up.
- Wall build-up. Masonry takes an ordinary anchor. Plasterboard needs a stud or a rated hollow-wall fixing. On a big job that is labour and survey time, not preference.
- Spacing. Allow for handlebar width and pedal clash, and stagger heights where bikes sit close together, or the rated capacity will not be usable in practice.
